“So get D-Day by Knight Area. Get it because it is a wonderful tribute to an incredible event and the people who made it so.
Get it because it is a great account of history. Or, what the heck, get it because it’s a damn good album.” (Sonic Perspectives)

D-Day video and single release: Blood on the Risers
Today is the 75th anniversary of D-Day, as a tribute our heroes we’re proud to release our new single ‘Blood on the Risers’!

The video was shot in Normandy and honours the American paratroopers of the 82nd and 101st Airborne divisions and the glider troops that followed. To pass on the memory, to remind that today we live in peace, freedom and dignity because others gave their life for us.
New lead singer announced
to let you know that we found an extraordinary appropriate and skilled singer to join Knight Area.
We are proud to announce that Jan Willem Ketelaers will be the new lead singer of Knight Area.
Jan Willem has a track record with bands such as Ayreon and Robby Valentine and the auditions with
us were very promising and exciting.
We welcome Jan Willem in our band and together with him we will continue working on our seventh studio album about D-Day.
Knight Area and lead singer Mark Smit separate ways
After several months of writing material for the seventh Knight Area studio album, Gerben Klazinga, Mark Bogert, Pieter van Hoorn and Peter Vink have decided to separate ways with Mark Smit, who has been the lead singer of Knight Area since the beginning of the band in 2003.
Mark Smit has been responsable for the vast majority of the lyrics, lead and backing vocals and has contributed several compositions and keyboard parts. Therefore we want to thank Mark from the bottom of our hearts, we are proud of being a band with him for almost 15 years.
We were looking for a new lead singer the last weeks and we expect to be able to inform you about this in the coming days. We will continue working on our seventh studio album about D-Day, our plans about the new album haven’t changed.

Knight Area looking for roadie
Since we are looking for someone based in the Netherlands this announcement is in Dutch.
